Experience our passion for education

If you would like to find out more about our passion for education and how it would benefit your child, please do visit our Open Day in April. On a normal working day you will see our small class sizes, challenging and fun lessons and supportive atmosphere for learning. We are proud of our outstanding facilities for co-curricular activities, including our dedicated Music School and state-of-the-art sports pitches at Ipswich School Sports Centre, which are used by all our pupils. Ipswich Prep pupils benefit from a purpose built school with easy access to the specialist facilities of the Senior School. Perhaps more importantly, at Ipswich School we pride ourselves on having a caring school community with an exemplary approach to pastoral care. Nicholas Weaver, Ipswich School Headmaster, says: “At Ipswich School we encourage pupils to explore ideas and to develop their own passion for learning as a means to reach their full potential. There’s no substitute for coming to see our pupils and staff in action, and we look forward to welcoming you to one of the leading independent schools in Suffolk and East Anglia.” Ipswich School offers a range of scholarships and bursaries to assist families. There are late stay options available and buses run to the school from many parts of Suffolk and north Essex. Our next open day takes place on Thursday 19 April, with the Senior School open between 9.30am and 12.30pm, and Ipswich Prep School open between 12.30pm and 3.00pm. For Year 11 pupils, there is also a Sixth Form Skills Seminar and Information Event at 5-6.30pm on the same day. More details are on our website: www. ipswich.school/openday, where you can also book a tour or your place on the Skills Seminars.
