EADT Suffolk - - Women In Business -

Mary-Anne is an independent Milliner providing a bespoke and ready- to- wear service. Her unique art has evolved into eye-catching headwear which is on display in her workroom. How did you choose your current career? Mary-Anne is a trained Textile Artist and exhibits nationally and internationally and frequently has textile pieces touring Europe. Her Millinery business evolved from the same concept as her textiles “Rhythm, movement and balance. Over the years she has discussed techniques with Royal and many other high profile Milliners which has enabled her to provide an outstanding service. In your working lifetime, how do you perceive things have changed for women? Working form home gives me the freedom and enables me to work longer hours during the run up to Ascot and complete last minute orders. But I always find time for my Grand-Daughter and my early morning walks with my two Golden Retrievers. Who inspires you the most, personally and professionally? I set up my business 10 years ago and still have the same ethic. Work hard, have fun and strive to provide the best service possible.
