EADT Suffolk - - Women In Business -

Divorce, Separation, Children, Financial, family law specialist with over 28 years of experience in Family Law issues. How did you choose your current career? I never set out to be a lawyer. I went with my dad to see a solicitor when he went to sign papers. I suddenly had an interest and started to ask lots of questions of the solicitor about what his job entailed what he had to do to get there. My interest in law began and that day changed the course and direction of my life and my studies. In your working lifetime, how do you perceive things have changed for women? When I first started working and training as a lawyer there were definitely more men in fee earning/lawyer roles than there were women. Over time this has changed and in some areas of law there are now more qualified women lawyers than there are men lawyers. Who inspires you most, personally and professionally? All my children, but especially my son who has been born with disabilities. His attitude and approach to life and his difficulties is tremendous I wish I could bottle his approach and give to others.
