Anglian Water has announced plans to reduce plastic use among its customers and in its business. The company will try to tackle all plastic waste which cannot be reused, recycled or composted by forming a coalition with other businesses, manufacturers and retailers to reduce the amount of plastic getting into the environment, and by working with customers to reduce plastics in their own homes. It will also try to eliminate single use plastic waste within its business.

Chief executive Peter Simpson said: “Saying it’s difficult is not good enough and we can’t do this alone, which is why we want to bring the right people together to better understand and tackle the problem from beginning to end.”
