Suf­folk Cham­ber of Com­merce and EDF En­ergy hosted guests at the Suf­folk Show from across all sec­tors of busi­ness and com­merce in the county.

More than 120 lo­cal busi­ness­peo­ple also at­tended Suf­folk Cham­ber of Com­merce’s re­cent net­work­ing event when chief ex­ec­u­tive of EDF En­ergy, Si­mone Rossi, spoke about the com­pany’s con­fi­dence about the con­tri­bu­tion a new nu­clear power sta­tion at Sizewell C would make to the UK’s en­ergy mix and se­cu­rity.

Si­mone out­lined how Sizewell C will boost the lo­cal econ­omy, acting as a cat­a­lyst for top-end engi­neer­ing, con­struc­tion and man­u­fac­tur­ing jobs, cre­at­ing 100 ap­pren­tice­ships dur­ing con­struc­tion, and con­tribut­ing £4 bil­lion to the econ­omy over the project’s life­time. suf­folkcham­ ed­fen­
