STORIES OF OUR LIVES
The need for meaning fuels the quest for learning and truth in science and in the world’s philosophical, religious and spiritual traditions. In a secular age, lack of meaning and purpose can leave people vulnerable to mental ill health. Our brains are wired to seek meaning and purpose through the power of metaphor, by matching what goes on in our lives to what we already know.
The Stories of our Lives is a session on exploring how the metaphors contained in stories from traditional psychology and spiritual traditions can help make sense of challenges and find meaning in the face of hardship. Thursday September 27, Quay Place, 6pm-7.30pm. All welcome. Book your free place: marketing@ suffolkmind.org.uk or call 01394 333199.
