THE TABLE, THE ANCHOR, WOODBRIDGE; THE DUCK, CAMPSEA ASHE; THE EASTON WHITE HORSE

“I was poleaxed for a week after lockdown, devastated. We’ve done online quizzes and bingo to keep team spirit up. I’ve spent more time with my children [aged nine and eight], kept in contact with friends, felt better for exercise. I’ve appreciated the leisurely mornings with no mad panic.

“Then [mid-May] I decided I should be a real leader again, so we started doing takeaways properly. We did 100 for fish and chips on Friday at the White Horse, I did three Asian dishes at The Table, and we’ve got plans for pizza at the Duck and hot dogs at The Anchor. We’ve also helped deliver food parcels for The Teapot Project and made around 100 meals a week for NHS keyworkers. I’ve really felt the love of the Woodbridge community.

“When we reopen we’ll start outside. I can’t see us using Perspex screens but we’ll have masks for staff and clear signage.”
