A summer house at Carmunnock Primary School has been destroyed by a fire.
The school took to Twitter to say the out-house had been “affected by vandalism” over the Easter holidays but that the debris would be cleared from the playground to make it safe for pupils returning.
A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 6.12pm on Monday, April 10, we were alerted to reports of a fire within school grounds on Waterside Road, Carmunnock.
“One appliance was mobilised and the crew extinguished the fire using a high power hose.
“Firefighters left the scene after ensuring it had been made safe.”
Police said there is no ongoing investigation into the fire.
