SNP up for fight in EK

The Scot­tish Na­tional Party have pre­sented their can­di­dates for East Kilbride ahead of next month’s coun­cil elec­tions.

Two SNP can­di­dates will stand in each of the town’s five wards with Mairi Tul­bure also con­test­ing Avon­dale and Stone­house.

In the back row, from left to right, are: David Wat­son (EK West), John An­der­son (EK Cen­tral South), Archie Buchanan (EK South), Hugh MacDon­ald (EK Cen­tral North), Jim Ward­haugh (EK East) and Ali Sala­mati (EK West).

Along the front row, from left to right, is: Geri Gray (EK South), Col­lette Steven­son (EK Cen­tral South), Sheena Ward­haugh (EK Cen­tral North) and Gla­dys Miller (EK East).

Vot­ers will go to the polls on Thurs­day, May 3 to de­ter­mine the make up of the next South La­nark­shire Coun­cil ad­min­is­tra­tion.
