Five times over the limit

A St Leonards woman who got behind the wheel while five times over the limit has been disqualified.

Alexis Kelly, 23, drove along Old Coach Road in East Kilbride on April 17 with 111 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of her breath.

The legal limit is 22mcg.

Kelly, of Davaar, pleaded guilty to a charge of drink driving and was ordained to appear back in the dock at Hamilton Sheriff Court on May 12.

The case was adjourned for background reports.

Kelly was disqualified from holding or obtaining a licence in the meantime.
