Kids have fun at Retro Play Day
Fun timeFace There was plenty of fun and games at Heathery Knowe Primary School.
Primary six pupils organised a special Retro Play Day for the nursery children and their families to enjoy.
Retro Play Day is based on an idea from the charity 21st Century Families who encourage kids and their families to have fun spending time together away from screen-based activities.
Acting head teacher Julie McKee said: “From potato painting to den building, obstacle courses to fruit kebabs, Heathery Knowe Primary School’s Retro Play Day was packed full of exciting activities.”
She was delighted with the success of the project and said: “Heathery Knowe hope to continue making fun-filled memories with the younger children in our community and helping everyone to enjoy some good old fashioned play time.”
