Coffee morning cash boost

East Kilbride News - - NEWS -

East Kilbride Central North councillor Joe Fagan brewed up – and charity was the winner.

The Labour member held a coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support at Blacklaw Primary School.

And a total of £280 was raised with funds boosted by a raffle and a competition where folk had to guess the weight of a 4.6kg rainbow cake.

Councillor Fagan said: “We raised nearly £300 from our coffee morning in Blacklaw and together with the other fundraisers in the town, it looks like East Kilbride has made another big contribution to the Macmillan Appeal.

“I want to thank each and every person who came along and helped out on the day.

“It definitely makes a difference.”
