Knife charge denied
Trial was set for a Greenhills man accused of brandishing a knife.
Stuart Hadden, 36, of Oak Avenue, denied behaving in a threatening or abusive manner on June 16, allegedly shouting and swearing, making threats of violence and brandishing the weapon on The Murray Road.
He then went on to plead not guilty to a charge of being in possession of an offensive weapon on the same date.
And Hadden denied a further charge of shouting and swearing at police officers both at The Murray Road and at Cathcart police station.
Meanwhile, the accused pled not guilty to a fourth charge of lunging at and attempting to headbutt a police officer, also at The Murray Road and at the police station.
Hadden denied all of the charges when he made an appearance at Hamilton Sheriff Court.
Trial has been scheduled for November 1.
