Third Lanark talk hits the target
The Rotary Club of East Kilbride Kittoch welcomed the chairman of Third Lanark Football Club for their latest talk.
Ian Alexander spoke passionately about his love of the game of football and Third Lanark, and of the ambitions of the club to grow not just as a football organisation but also as a community resource.
Third Lanark was formed as a football club in 1872 and were one of the founders of the Scottish game before their liquidation.
They played at Cathkin Park on the south side of Glasgow.
Since 1967 the club has returned to amateur status once more to secure its continuing existence on the field.
