Thug­gish duo mug teen for his train­ers

Two men were be­ing hunted by po­lice yes­ter­day af­ter a teenager was robbed of his train­ers at Lang­lands Moss.

The 16-year-old boy was walk­ing alone at the na­ture re­serve, near to Lind­say­field Road, at around 5.20pm on Mon­day when he heard some­one run­ning be­hind him.

He was knocked to the ground by two men who re­moved his black Nike train­ers — and made off as he lay on the ground.

The vic­tim was un­in­jured.

East Kil­bride po­lice are ap­peal­ing for wit­nesses to come for­ward and have re­leased de­scrip­tions of the sus­pects.

The first male is de­scribed as white, Scot­tish, around 18 to 20 years old, 5ft 11in tall and of a slim build. He was wear­ing a dark coloured Adi­das hooded top.

The sec­ond male was white, Scot­tish, around 18 to 20 years old, 6ft 2in tall and of a stocky build with black or brown hair. He was wear­ing a black North Face hooded jacket.
