Thuggish duo mug teen for his trainers
Two men were being hunted by police yesterday after a teenager was robbed of his trainers at Langlands Moss.
The 16-year-old boy was walking alone at the nature reserve, near to Lindsayfield Road, at around 5.20pm on Monday when he heard someone running behind him.
He was knocked to the ground by two men who removed his black Nike trainers — and made off as he lay on the ground.
The victim was uninjured.
East Kilbride police are appealing for witnesses to come forward and have released descriptions of the suspects.
The first male is described as white, Scottish, around 18 to 20 years old, 5ft 11in tall and of a slim build. He was wearing a dark coloured Adidas hooded top.
The second male was white, Scottish, around 18 to 20 years old, 6ft 2in tall and of a stocky build with black or brown hair. He was wearing a black North Face hooded jacket.
