East Kilbride News - - INTIMATIONS - Andrea O’Neill

A tale as old as time is coming to town this festive season for East Kilbride Rep Theatre’s annual Christmas pantomime.

Beauty and the Beast will be this year’s panto production at the Village Theatre – adapted by Neil Cox for the amateur theatre group.

Audiences can expect to see all their favourite characters in the show which opens with Beauty wandering into the Beast’s castle.

Will Can Khan the tiger save her?

Can Ma Bunions and her hapless duo Peelie and Wallie help Beauty’s father defeat the evil Gargon and his sidekicks Scroggs and Groggs?

Or will they end up needing some much-needed magic from fairy Nuff?

This unmissable night of fun, song and dance will be backed by a chorus of 40 talented local schoolchildren who are busy in rehearsals.

Beauty and the Beast runs from Tuesday, November 28 to Saturday, December 2 and from Monday, December 4 to Saturday, December 9.

Tickets cost £9/£6.50. Contact the box office on (01355) 261000.
