Remembrance Sunday The folk of Carmunnock came together, as they have done for decades, to remember those men from the village and surrounding areas who made the ultimate sacrifice during the two world wars. Carmunnock Parish Church’s Remembrance Service, conducted by the Rev Gray Fletcher, was very emotive as those who lost their lives during 1917 were mentioned by name. Following the service, the congregation and the parade, led by the Saint Francis Pipe Band, marched to the village war memorial. Here, Rev Gray Fletcher conducted a short service of remembrance, followed by the laying of wreaths by The British Legion, the Guides and Brownies, the Guild, the Autumn Club and the community council. After the service everyone retired to the Clason Hall for tea and coffee.

Christmas night The Christmas Night, held in aid of Carmunnock Nursery at Castlemilk Hall, was a great success, with everyone enjoying a great night of fun and shopping. News of the funds raised will be announced later. Well done to the nursery staff for their efforts and to the ladies who joined in to support them.
