Great example of honesty
I would like to thank the kind and honest person who found and returned my lost smart phone.
The phone was lost opposite the shops in Kelso Drive on Thursday, November 2, at around 1.30pm in the afternoon.
I really did not expect to see it again but on the off chance of it being handed in, I contacted East Kilbride Police Station.
I was overjoyed to get a call on the Friday afternoon to say it had, indeed, been handed in.
I was told that the finder did not want any recognition or reward.
I hope he/she reads this newspaper as I have no other way of finding him/ her to say thank you.
I am truly grateful as the phone contained so many contacts etc. Also, the cost of replacing it was a serious consideration.
I will be giving a donation to charity in lieu of the finder.
This is a great example of the honesty of the vast majority of the people of East Kilbride. Joan Docherty, via email
