Something to chew over
In response to your feature on the Scottish Government’s proposals to improve healthier eating and cut down Scotland’s obesity rate (Are meals too big?, November 8).
I wonder if, in years to come and on the back of these plans going through, people will view this change in legislation in the same way as something like the ban on smoking in pubs, clubs, etc?
Cancer, heart disease and diabetes are serious health conditions. They impact lives and cost a lot for our NHS to treat. An argument of state interference could be put forward but are we just going to, literally, sit back and do nothing about this issue? A Smith, via email
