Marie and Erin hope to fly flag
“It was then on to the competition and I was so proud of Erin and the team. For Scotland to be semi-finalists was amazing and we were all so proud of our coach Helen and her dog Dare to be finalists.
“Being asked to go to Switzerland next year is a real honour. And I would love to make the team again next year.”
Marie added: “After the disappointment of having to cancel last year due to an outbreak of kennel cough, the success of this year made all the hard work worthwhile.”
Although the team is made up of competitors from across Glasgow and Ayrshire, they train at the Pet Empawrium in College Milton. The For Scotland to be semi-finalists was amazing – I was so proud of Erin and the team... Marie Docherty dog jackets for the Belgium trip and human jackets were embroidered by local businesswoman Lesley Balmer and the Saltire leads were made and sponsored by Debbie Burley.
Team Scotland will now start their fundraising efforts once again – and hope to put their best paws forward and get tails wagging.
