Marie and Erin hope to fly flag

“It was then on to the com­pe­ti­tion and I was so proud of Erin and the team. For Scot­land to be semi-fi­nal­ists was amaz­ing and we were all so proud of our coach He­len and her dog Dare to be fi­nal­ists.

“Be­ing asked to go to Switzerland next year is a real hon­our. And I would love to make the team again next year.”

Marie added: “Af­ter the dis­ap­point­ment of hav­ing to can­cel last year due to an out­break of ken­nel cough, the suc­cess of this year made all the hard work worth­while.”

Al­though the team is made up of com­peti­tors from across Glas­gow and Ayr­shire, they train at the Pet Em­pawrium in Col­lege Mil­ton. The For Scot­land to be semi-fi­nal­ists was amaz­ing – I was so proud of Erin and the team... Marie Docherty dog jack­ets for the Bel­gium trip and hu­man jack­ets were em­broi­dered by lo­cal busi­ness­woman Les­ley Balmer and the Saltire leads were made and spon­sored by Debbie Bur­ley.

Team Scot­land will now start their fundrais­ing ef­forts once again – and hope to put their best paws for­ward and get tails wag­ging.
