An or­gan­i­sa­tion which sup­ports the vol­un­tary sec­tor is call­ing on res­i­dents in East Kil­bride to have their say on elec­toral re­form.

Vol­un­tary Ac­tion South La­nark­shire (VASLan) will be hold­ing dis­cus­sions for mem­bers of the com­mu­nity to share their views on the new Elec­toral Re­form Con­sul­ta­tion.

The pub­lic con­sul­ta­tion on Elec­toral Re­form was launched in De­cem­ber 2017 and is seek­ing views re­lat­ing to lo­cal Gov­ern­ment and Scot­tish Par­lia­ment elec­tions.

VASLan is en­cour­ag­ing lo­cal peo­ple to come to­gether and dis­cuss new re­forms in or­der to pull to­gether a col­lec­tive re­sponse to feed back to the Scot­tish Gov­ern­ment be­fore the con­sul­ta­tion closes on March 12.

VASLan will be hold­ing these dis­cus­sions on Fri­day 23 and Tues­day 27 Fe­bru­ary from 9.30am-12.30pm
