Kids put through their paces for Sports Relief
Pupils at Heathery Knowe Primary were put through their paces in aid of Sports Relief.
A week of activities was held in the school including circuit training sessions which were organised by head teacher Julie McKee, who is taking on her own fundraiser this month in a powerlifting challenge in aid of Prostate Cancer UK.
She said:“Rooms 8 and 9 organised a fantastic week of activities for Sports Relief at Heathery Knowe. They launched the week with an assembly followed by a week of events encouraging children to move more and be more active.
“Every child from nursery to P7 took part in‘Move It Monday’with myself.
“The children thoroughly enjoyed their circuit- based training sessions and I loved putting them through their paces and challenging them.
“The week of activities continued with HulaTuesday,WalkingWednesday, Boogie Thursday and Footie Friday.”
