Man not guilty of night club assault
A man has been cleared of a glass assault in an East Kilbride nightclub.
Jamie McKay, 31, of Clincarthill Road, Rutherglen was accused at Hamilton Sheriff Court of throwing a tumbler which struck a man on the head to his injury at Downtown on March 19, 2017.
It was also alleged he culpably and recklessly threw a glass which struck a woman on the face and injured her.
McKay, who was represented by solicitor-advocate Ali Murray, denied both charges and after evidence from three witnesses the Crown decided to drop the case. He was formally found not guilty.
