Residents discuss watch scheme
Murray Community Council are in discussions to launch a neighbourhood watch in the area.
The decision was made following a complaint at their meeting last month regarding a car in Whitehills Drive which had two windows smashed.
Following the incident, the organisation are now looking for residents who are interested in starting a watch scheme in The Murray.
Secretary June Harpum is currently involved in consulting locals about the start-up.
The news follows CCTV cameras being put in place at the Murray Square near the cash machines – which sit in a secluded spot.
However, the temporary installation is currently under review.
Meanwhile, the community council have cancelled their next meeting.
Members were due to meet tomorrow night but the forum has been postponed and will now take place on Thursday, June 14 at 7.30pm in the Murray Owen Centre.
Everyone in the area is welcome along to raise matters of interest.
