Nitro loves attention
Nitro is a lovely little guy who loves attention.
He was rescued as a stray and sadly no owner came forward for him.
He likes to act all shy and nervous at first but once you start to pet him he instantly relaxes and you can hear him purring away.
Nitro loves to explore and see what is going on and what you are up to.
He would make a great addition to a household without any young children and an owner who is at home most of the day, at least at first, to help him settle in.
If you can offer Nitro a loving new home, please contact the Scottish SPCA rescue and rehoming centre in Lanarkshire on 03000 999 999. Budding science boffins from South Park Primary were in a fizz as they experienced the wonders of chemistry.
The school took part in touring chemistry workshop Get Fizzy which sees pupils whip up some mysterious mixtures in the lab.
Generation Science is a programme of science shows delivered by the Edinburgh International Science Festival and powered by EDF Energy.
In the beginners workshop, pupils learn about solids, liquids, gases and fizzes and how some mixtures can react and even go bang.
Head teacher Kirsty McNeil said:“We are delighted to welcome the Generation Science tour to the school.
“For some of our pupils, Get Fizzy is their first ever introduction to chemistry. It is hands-on and makes science fun and enjoyable.”
Joan Davidson, head of education at Generation Science, added:“This is all about improving the provision of science education in Scottish primary schools and we do this with the support of companies like EDF Energy and our team of incredibly enthusiastic science communicators whose energy and passion for delivering engaging science, inspires young learners and brings science to life in the classroom.”
