Linzi teaches crew Scots slang

Miss Scot­land Linzi McLel­land hopes to soar to greater heights as she be­gins her jour­ney to the Miss World ti­tle,

The 24-year-old air stew­ardess, who also holds the Miss Glas­gow Gal­axy and Miss Bri­tish Em­pire Scot­land ti­tles, will travel to China for the fi­nals in De­cem­ber.

How­ever, in the mean­time, in her day job as cabin crew with Emi­rates Air­line, Linzi has taken cen­tre stage in a pro­mo­tional video in which she swaps her pageant crown for her Emi­rates head wear.

The West Mains stun­ner is seen teach­ing her col­leagues Scot­tish slang – en­light­en­ing them with phrases like“lang may yer lum reek” and“whit’s fur ye’ll no go past ye”.

The video, which was posted on the Emi­rates Air­line Twit­ter ac­count, came ahead of the launch of their flights to Ed­in­burgh on Mon­day.

Linzi will be­come the first East Kil­bride beauty to en­ter Miss World af­ter win­ning the Miss Scot­land 2018 crown in June.

She has lived in Dubai for the last two years but re­cently re­turned to her home town as she em­barks on her new ad­ven­ture as Scot­land’s poster girl.
