A&Eunit isabove national average
Waiting times at University Hospital Hairmyres A&E department were above the Scottish average for a second week in a row.
NHS Scotland figures reveal that 92.5 per pent of patients were admitted, transferred or discharged within the four-hour target time for the week ending Sunday, September 23.
This was above the NHS Lanarkshire average of 90.3 per cent. At University Hospital Monklands in Airdrie, 92.9 per cent of patients were seen within four hours while the figure was 85.9 per cent at University Hospital Wishaw.
The Scottish Government target is 95 per cent and statistics show that 88.7 per cent of patients were seen during the four-hour period across Scotland.
Ten patients waited over eight hours and three more than 12 at Hairmyres.
Figures for the previous week showed 92.8 per cent of patients were seen at Hairmyres – this was again above the Scottish average of 89.6 per cent.
The NHS Lanarkshire average for that week was 91 per cent.
