Stalking leads to payback order
A Murray man has admitted stalking his former partner over a period of six months.
Jamie Thom, 32, of Kelvin Place, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court last week.
He admitted engaging in a course of conduct which caused his ex fear or alarm in Pembroke, Calderwood and elsewhere between December 2017 and June.
The court heard Thom tried repeatedly to contact his ex via phone calls, texts and social media.
He turned up time and again at her home in an aggressive state – and also attended repeatedly at the home of her relatives.
Thom was handed a community payback order which involves supervision for 18 months and attending a social work programme.
