Cof­fee & choco­late soup!

Peel­ing bananas is much eas­ier if you start from the bot­tom – just watch how mon­keys do it! Put 150ml dou­ble cream in a saucepan over a medium heat and gen­tly bring to the boil. Mean­while, chop 200g good-qual­ity

dark choco­late into small pieces us­ing a heavy knife and pre­pare 100ml strong cof­fee. Once the cream is just boil­ing, turn off the heat and throw in the choco­late. Stir gen­tly un­til com­pletely smooth, then add in the cof­fee and 4 tbsp brandy (if us­ing). To serve, di­vide the soup be­tween 4 small bowls and add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to each. Who says soup is just a starter?
