With the exception of Christmas, Halloween is the event of the year for my kids. There’s something about dressing up as zombies, scaring the neighbours and eating their own body weight in bloody finger-shaped sweets that they can’t get enough of. Then, less than a week later, they get to shriek with delight at the fireworks on Bonfire Night. So, we’re devoting a big chunk of this month’s issue to these great autumn events.
