Corydalis temulifoila ‘Chocolate Stars’

EDP Norfolk - - Garden Guide -

This is a great little perennial for a shaded or a partially shaded spot in the garden. In early spring its serrated leaves are a wonderful chocolate brown which makes it worth growing for them alone; from March to May these are complemented by a succession of pale lavenderviolet tubular flowers. By early summer the leaves fade to green but if grown in a cool shady spot don’t die back like some Corydalis varieties. ‘Chocolate Stars’ will cope with sun but will need more water than when grown in the shade.
