Blick­ling Es­tate has been recog­nised for the work done on the es­tate and in its kitchens serv­ing fresh, lo­cal food pro­duced us­ing more sus­tain­able and eth­i­cal in­gre­di­ents.

It has landed a bronze Food for Life Served Here award from the Soil As­so­ci­a­tion for its com­mit­ment to us­ing pro­duce grown on the es­tate, in­clud­ing fruit and veg­eta­bles from the kitchen gar­den, like beet­root, car­rots, cucumbers, pota­toes, gar­lic and red onions. Ev­ery day, 100% of their meals are served us­ing fresh, lo­cal and eth­i­cally pro­duced food.

Nick Smith, food and bev­er­age man­ager at Blick­ling Es­tate said: ”We’re de­lighted to have achieved the bronze Food for Life Served Here Award. We pride our­selves on cre­at­ing de­li­cious food that has been grown, reared and pre­pared with land, na­ture and, of course, our cus­tomers in mind. This award recog­nises ev­ery­one’s hard work.”
