Blickling Estate has been recognised for the work done on the estate and in its kitchens serving fresh, local food produced using more sustainable and ethical ingredients.
It has landed a bronze Food for Life Served Here award from the Soil Association for its commitment to using produce grown on the estate, including fruit and vegetables from the kitchen garden, like beetroot, carrots, cucumbers, potatoes, garlic and red onions. Every day, 100% of their meals are served using fresh, local and ethically produced food.
Nick Smith, food and beverage manager at Blickling Estate said: ”We’re delighted to have achieved the bronze Food for Life Served Here Award. We pride ourselves on creating delicious food that has been grown, reared and prepared with land, nature and, of course, our customers in mind. This award recognises everyone’s hard work.”
