Forc­ing jars can be placed over rhubarb this month forc­ing young pink stems to grow; these should be ready for har­vest­ing in around two months.

Soft fruit bushes such as currants and goose­ber­ries should be pruned now if not al­ready done.

Check any tu­bers and corms for signs of dis­ease or de­te­ri­o­ra­tion.

Re­move any heavy snow­falls from conifers and hedges to pre­vent them be­ing dam­aged.
