‘Health is wealth’ as the say­ing goes. Stud­ies have shown that older adults who do phys­i­cal ac­tiv­ity are less likely to de­velop con­di­tions like type 2 di­a­betes, or suf­fer from os­teo­poro­sis. Aer­o­bic ac­tiv­i­ties like walk­ing, swim­ming or cy­cling are great for the heart and lungs, whilst there are claims that prac­tis­ing mind­ful­ness can strengthen the im­mune sys­tem.
