The grand open­ing of Wells Malt­ings will be on Septem­ber 19 with a spe­cial cer­e­mony – here are some of the events al­ready lined up through­out Septem­ber and be­yond.

From Satur­day 1 to Sun­day 9, Self Made

Mu­sic will be in res­i­dence de­vel­op­ing their new na­tional op­er­atic project, Quilt­song, in­clud­ing an open re­hearsal.

The Con­nec­tion: Open

2018 art ex­hi­bi­tion car­ries on un­til Septem­ber 30, show­ing work from 200 lo­cal artists.

The Wells Her­itage Art

Trail also runs un­til the end of the month and maps are avail­able from the Vis­i­tor In­for­ma­tion Cen­tre.

Fri­day, Septem­ber 14, of­fers the chance to spend an evening with po­lar ex­plorer Robert Swan, who will be talk­ing about Lead­er­ship On The Edge. On Fri­day, Septem­ber 21, there will be a per­for­mance of James McDer­mott’s com­edy/ drama Rub­ber Ring in the theatre.

There will also be Cre­ative

Writ­ing Cour­ses dur­ing Septem­ber – on Tues­day 18 and Tues­day 25.

Look­ing ahead to the win­ter pro­gramme, there will be a Win­ter Mar­ket on De­cem­ber 8 and 9 fea­tur­ing fab­u­lous fes­tive stalls, food and drink. Every­one wel­come, and en­try is free.
