WHAT’S ON AT WELLS MALTINGS
The grand opening of Wells Maltings will be on September 19 with a special ceremony – here are some of the events already lined up throughout September and beyond.
From Saturday 1 to Sunday 9, Self Made
Music will be in residence developing their new national operatic project, Quiltsong, including an open rehearsal.
The Connection: Open
2018 art exhibition carries on until September 30, showing work from 200 local artists.
The Wells Heritage Art
Trail also runs until the end of the month and maps are available from the Visitor Information Centre.
Friday, September 14, offers the chance to spend an evening with polar explorer Robert Swan, who will be talking about Leadership On The Edge. On Friday, September 21, there will be a performance of James McDermott’s comedy/ drama Rubber Ring in the theatre.
There will also be Creative
Writing Courses during September – on Tuesday 18 and Tuesday 25.
Looking ahead to the winter programme, there will be a Winter Market on December 8 and 9 featuring fabulous festive stalls, food and drink. Everyone welcome, and entry is free.
