This month, we explore the new wave of beautifully designed vegan eateries, three just-opened British hotels, a Frida Kahlo exhibiton at London’s V&A, fresh new bakeries and much more
This is the year to explore Mykonos. One of the Cyclades’ smallest islands, it is at the top of the list for its famous thatched windmills, cerulean Aegean Sea, white sugar-cube houses and, since the 1960s, its reputation as a party island. All of the above – as well as the beautiful Greek Orthodox churches and sublime seascapes – are chronicled in Mykonos Muse, a new photography book published this month (£60, Assouline). Tempted to visit? Stay at San Giorgio, a stylish mini-hotel with limewashed walls and bamboo ceilings designed by Athens-based practice K- Studio. Expect hammocks, yoga classes and a lunch menu that includes chargrilled courgettes and fresh clams (doubles from £162; sangiorgio-mykonos.com).
