I have a theory about highlighter: it can be dangerous in the wrong hands. I’m talking aesthetic danger only – make-up is harmless unless ingested in large quantities – but an
overly ‘lit’ face has its place, and that is behind the closed doors of the Love Island
villa. I know my way around a make-up product, so I know to tread lightly, but still, my husband sometimes licks his thumb and scrubs away at my orbital bone. ‘Too much, so shiny.’ This behaviour stopped with the adoption of my Nars Bord de Plage Palette, £45 (below). It’s effortless – and therein lies
its secret – thanks to the perfect level of opalescence across all six shades. It’s like mood lighting in palette form. Ultra-flattering.
