MUNICH AIRPORT’S LABCAMPUS
LabCampus is set to become Germany’s number one location for innovation and cross-industry cooperation, based on-site at Munich Airport in its northwest corner.
Set to stretch across 500,000 square metres, the campus will house experts and specialists from a variety of companies, startups, research institutes and a number of other organisations, all contributing towards the R&D value chain.
The innovation centre will be a wholly-owned subsidiary of FMG – the operator of Munich Airport itself.
The first of four quarters will provide space for approximately 4,000 employees over an area of 12,000 square metres, with construction set to begin later this year and occupancy earmarked for 2021. The entire quadrant is slated for completion by 2025.
