COMMENT OF THE MONTH

Empire (UK) - - TALK TO US -

HOW DEEP IS YOUR LOVE?

I thoroughly enjoyed your James Cameron interview in the latest issue and was eagerly awaiting what was going to be revealed about The Abyss — in my opinion Cameron’s best movie and one of my all-time favourites. Soon after DVD was invented The Abyss was released in a shockingly crummy non-anamorphic version. I waited patiently for Fox to get up to speed and release a better version, but it never happened, and to this day this masterpiece is yet to be released in high definition. So you can imagine my disappointment and downright outrage when the aforementioned interview said nothing about a forthcoming Blu-ray release of The Abyss. A golden opportunity sorely missed!
