Founded in New York in 1994, Supreme has long been among the most sought-af­ter of the streetwear brands, with de­mand reg­u­larly out­strip­ping sup­ply, as any­one who has seen the snaking queues out­side its London shop, in Soho, can con­firm. No sur­prise, then, that the brand’s most re­cent col­lab­o­ra­tion, with the fa­bled French mai­son Louis Vuit­ton, is among the most cov­etable col­lec­tions of the sea­son, and not just for self-de­scribed hy­pe­beasts; any­one with an in­ter­est in fash­ion and brand­ing, will be ex­cited (and not a lit­tle amused) by the col­li­sion of up­start Amer­i­can skate cul­ture and one of the most hal­lowed names in Euro­pean lux­ury. There are 23 items to choose from, but our pick is this holdall, cut from Louis Vuit­ton’s Epi leather in retina-burn­ing red, Supreme’s sig­na­ture shade. It’s per­fect for a week­end away, of course, but, re­ally, this has very lit­tle to do with prac­ti­cal­ity. It’s about scarcity, de­sire, and, well, show­ing off. Get it while it’s scorch­ing hot.
