Action Man

-

A lifelong Belstaff customer (he owns 46 waxed Roadmaster jackets) and a paid-up member of the South London Motorcycle Club, Action Man wears a Breitling Emergency (in case he gets lost on the M4 visiting his mum), takes flying lessons out of Duxford and rides a Triumph in to work every day. His favourite film is

The Great Escape, but the closest he’s ever come to a prison break is traversing the West Dulwich school run. Hardwearing outerwear aside, Action Man is passionate for APC selvedge jeans (the kind that crack when walking), heavy Red Wing boots (a few sizes too big), and those itchy fishermen’s jumpers you find in army surplus stores (though he gets his from luxury brand Private White VC, made from expensive triple-ply cashmere). Holiday-wise it’s Cornwall in summer, Scotland in winter, and given that he started balding early, it’s panamas for the former and Lock & Co beanies for the latter. Dogs? Hundreds.

The garb: Belstaff biker jackets, Private White fisherman’s jumpers, APC jeans, Red Wing boots.

The habitat: Dulwich, the inside of a waxed jacket.

The accessory: A Triumph, obvs.
