Avi­a­tor sun­glasses have been with us since 1936 (cour­tesy of US brand Bausch & Lomb), and are back in the spot­light as the shape to be wear­ing this sum­mer. They’re now avail­able in vari­a­tions that go be­yond the orig­i­nal US Army Air Corps is­sue Ray-Bans that pop­u­larised the move­ment — al­though those are still a clas­sic. Just don’t wear them with a bomber jacket.
