Essex Life - - Beautiful Essex -

AS A keen amateur photographer I have sought to improve my skills, especially composure and light, by attending numerous courses available in the Colchester area. I have also taken advantage of photo shoots with professionals, the last being Shooting the Past in London, a wonderful experience. The photographs from this series were mainly taken on night class shoots.

The Osea Causeway was taken on leaving the island at low tide, an atmospheric image that some may recall as being from The Woman in Black movie. Beth Chatto’s Gardens always has something to offer the photographer with the change of seasons and variety of colours.

Night time photography was one skill I learnt at night class. The remaining photographs were taken at dusk or early evening as I learned to take more than just a ‘snapshot’, something I no longer take.
