ONE of the most popular DJs in the world is coming to play Snafu on Sunday. Felix Da Housecat is, quite simply, a legend. He helped spread acid house in the 80s and 90s, then kickstarted electro in the noughties. After many years in the business, the Chicago-born DJ and producer burst on to the global scene with awardwinning album Kittenz and Thee Glitz in 2001. Ensuing fame saw him remixing for Madonna, Britney Spears and Kylie. He followed up with Devin Dazzle & the Neon Fever, and sealed his fate – a star was born. He collaborated with P Diddy on Jack U and released the famous Silver Screen (Shower Scene), which featured in video games Midnight Club 2, and SSX 3, also popping up in the 2005 film Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, starring Robert Downey Jr. Felix has been nominated twice for Grammys and today performs in clubs all over the world. You can pick up his new album Son of Analogue, which features on the cover of April’s Mixmag. Don’t miss Felix Da Housecat, this Bank Holiday weekend, from 10pm.
