Guy gets ready for animal magic
TRANSFORMING actors into beasts for a production of Animal Farm is a huge challenge in itself. But making it a one-man show on top of this really ups the ante. And for Guy Masterson, who has adapted George Orwell’s classic novel for the stage, the problems haven’t ended there. The actor originally set to portray all the creatures great and small in the classic satire on totalitarian regimes – Gary Shelford – has had to pull out of the performance. But being a professional, Guy knows the show must go on, so he has stepped into the fray to take the lead in the production, due to hit The Lemon Tree.
