to dance remixes of his old songs. “I’m not a jealous person, but we came up with the lyrics and it just worked,” he said, of his new single. “As soon as we heard the idea and the lyrics, I knew it was going to be a song. I had listened to some remixes of my old songs and thought, how can I move on from here? “The album Echoes is again different to my others. Jealousy is a good indication of the new sound. There are slower songs on it, but it is like a pop/electric album. It’s definitely not a dance album.” Reminiscing over his Pop Idol days, as well as his previous albums, Will said he still loves performing and hopes to continue in the music business for as long as he can. As Will prepares for the release of his fourth album, out on Monday, he said he can’t wait to thrill fans in Aberdeen with another popular gig. He said: “I’m very excited to come back to Aberdeen. I love Aberdeen and Scotland. A fond memory was playing at T In The Park. That was brilliant. “I’m really looking forward to coming back to Aberdeen and performing in November. The Music Hall is a great venue. “Hopefully it will be another great night.”

RETURNING: Will Young is to play the Music Hall.
