It was orig­i­nally go­ing to be a swing act, but Adele re­leased Some­one Like You, and Fire­work was about, and For­get You. I’ve adopted all these songs and put my own ef­fect on to them. “The clas­sics are bril­liant but you can go to lots of con­certs and see them, but you never tend to see the con­tem­po­rary side of mu­sic in shows.” David – who has put a call out for new mem­bers – is al­ready work­ing on his next show and tak­ing the group’s motto, “ev­ery step is progress”, to heart, with a pro­duc­tion he hopes will be big­ger and bet­ter. He said: “Our next show will have a big­ger band. We’re go­ing to have cos­tumes and a bet­ter tech­ni­cal as­pect.” But for now, he wants to put Con Spir­ito firmly on the city’s mu­sic scene.
