Cops prob­ing mid-af­ter­noon as­sault which left 35-year-old man in­jured

PO­LICE are in­ves­ti­gat­ing af­ter a man was as­saulted and sus­tained fa­cial in­juries. The in­ci­dent hap­pened on Ted­der Road, in the Til­ly­drone area, at about 2pm on Septem­ber 6.

A 35-year-old male vic­tim sus­tained fa­cial in­juries but did not re­quire med­i­cal treat­ment.

Sergeant John Mcouat of the Til­ly­drone Com­mu­nity Po­lice Team said: “This in­ci­dent was dis­tress­ing to the vic­tim and would have oc­curred in the early af­ter­noon so there is the po­ten­tial that some­one in the area may have seen or heard some­thing.

“We are es­pe­cially keen to speak with a male and fe­male who were walk­ing a dog at the time and who may have valu­able in­for­ma­tion which could as­sist of­fi­cers with their in­quiries.” Any­one who wit­nessed the in­ci­dent, or who has rel­e­vant in­for­ma­tion, is asked to con­tact Po­lice Scot­land on 101 quot­ing ref­er­ence 1688 of Septem­ber 6 or Crimestop­pers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to re­main anony­mous.
