If only Aberdeen FC had the foresight to buy land Sports Village is now on

AM I the only person who is getting fed up listening to Aberdeen FC chairman Stewart Milne and vice chairman George Yule spouting the same rhetoric saying Aberdeen will go backwards if the move to Kingsford does not go ahead?

They seem to be making their problem the people of Kingswells and Westhill’s problem.

The city council vote on the matter is huge. The city centre is already struggling and a number of businesses depend on match day, including fish and chip shops, cafes, bakers, public houses and social clubs.

Mr Milne recently stated the club had spent £5 million on planning and development. But, in my opinion, they did not have to leave the city. If only they had the foresight to buy the land that is now occupied by the Sports Village.
