Motorists going from Culter to Aberdeen can do the reverse. Transport Scotland said motorists looking to travel south will be able to access the B979 at Milltimber Brae under temporary traffic signals.

A spokesman for First Bus said its services would be affected by the closures.

“Due to the road closure, the normal 19 service will be running but will terminate near the new bridge at Milltimber Brae. A shuttle bus will run from the Albyn School playing fields to Culter.”
